Wow....Just wish i had asked for something else!!!

Serious, now I really wish to go back and ask for something like a billon bucks. In the last post I 'wanted' Nadal to win in 5 and that just happened. I am thrilled, that my prediction went wrong and I got what I wanted.
Just saw the match highlights, couldn't see the full match due to Unmaad, but I saw first and third set live. The first one, I think was the best. 5 service breaks in a set, that

many rarely happen in a match let alone a set. Nadal drew the first blood by breaking Federer in the very first service game and Federer broke back a game later. The game was full of drama, tension, mood-swings, amazement and of all the stuff legends are made of. The presentation ceremony was as much as (if not more) dramatic as the match itself. It was sad to see Federer, arguably the greatest player of his era, trying to hold back his tears of disappointment and failing at that. And it was great to see the champion Nadal, consoling his rival and telling him that he will still beat Sampras record. Rivalty, Friendship, courage, win, defeat, history, legends everything combined in a single tennis match.
So now what? Nadal has proved that he can play for 10 hours in two continious 'hard' court matches and still emerge winner in both, there's no need for him to prove any thing on clay court, At Wimbledon he proved himself last year. He is just 22 and already has 6 grand slams. I bet in another few years and many grand slams later he will lead the 'greatest of all time' discussion, Just same as Federer right now. Federer know that he can still reach final s of 4 GMs in row but can he win? Yes, only if Nadal is not on the opposite side. Just because of a 'Nadal' Federer couldn't complete his grand slam. Just because of 'Nadal' he lost his 5 grand slam finals. Just because of 'Nadal' he is no more no. 1. Just because of 'Nadal' he is only 'arguably' the best. May be, just may be, he will beat 'Nadal' in both French and Wimbledon and achieve everything he strived for. But the way he reacted today in the presentation ceremony, he did not do that even after losing his very own 'Wimbledon' title. So is this the end? We never know, but in the popular world, life and movies both look better with happy endings. So I just hope Federer to get a happy ending. As for Nadal it’s just the start.

  1. As he said.. it was killing me.. but today's tears will make tomorrow's successes even more sweet for federrer..

a great champion needs a phase where he is down and out.. and makes a comeback.. This will only make his coming successes greater.. in fact now he has nothing to loose.. my heart says he will get the french now ;-)

Must say even in below par performance fed gave rafa a run for his money.. and rafa .. what can you say about this man.. is he human? I think he can outrun super man as well..
