Exploring 'Full House' in San Fransisco

"Every where you look every where you go,
 there's a heart there's a heart
a hand to hold on to...... "

Being a 90’s kid I grew up watching Full House TV series and have fond memories of the show. Danny, Uncle Jessie, Joey, DJ, Stephanie, Michelle and Kimmy Gibbler were my favorite characters one time. When we planned for a SFO trip I wanted to see 'Full House' house.

In San Francisco first thing on my mind was to see the famous golden gate and then to find the ‘Full House’ house. Like many others first we confused the Painted Ladies, as seen from Alamo square, with the Full House Tanner's Residence. but then google helped and we found that the Tanner's residence and Painted Ladies are two different houses and both were featured in 'Full House'. Keep reading to clear all your confusion about the houses in 'Full House'.

Tanner’s Residence
(Address: 1709 Broderick Street)
In my memories it was still the house painted in off white with a red door but to my surprise when we arrived at 1709 Broderick Street. It was nothing like the Tanner’s residence. Exterior paint was completely changed, for few minutes I was not even sure it’s the same house. I was disappointed but I can’t deny the fact that it still carried a sentimental value as a little kid who used to watch the full house show. One very interesting thing I found out that, this Victorian house is for sale just for $4.15 million. So if you got the money then 'you got it dude'!

Painted Ladies
(Address: 710–720 Steiner Street)
Route from Tanner's to Painted Ladies
About a mile away from the Tanner house across the Alamo Square Park we found another set of houses shown in the open credit of Full House theme song. These houses are known as ‘Painted Ladies’. Painted Ladies is a term in American Architecture used for Victorian and Edwardian houses and buildings painted in three or more color which enhances the detail of architecture, I had no idea its famous more for its architecture detail than the house shown in full house. This one was beautiful both architecture wise and as a fan girl. Painted Ladies is row of Victorian houses, sometime also known ‘postcard row’. I found this one more beautiful and photogenic houses.

Just for the information no tourist bus is allowed to past these houses, we walked the whole area and every house in the street is equally beautiful and spectacular.
